The Spring Equinox: Welcome to Aries.

Welcome to Aries. Today is a special day.

For the first time since 1981, we are having a full moon coincide with the spring equinox.

So what is so special about this?

Well firstly, a full moon is always a time of releasing and initiating the letting go process of what no longer speaks to us or has a place in our lives. By releasing and letting go without fear, we open up a space or void which allows us to consciously or unconsciously call in the new. The full moon is symbolic in the process of allowing what is no longer life-giving to die away. This is the flow of life.

In a similar vein, the Spring Equinox marks the start of the astrological new year, and is generally symbolic of new beginnings, birth, awakening and transitioning. In fact, before the introduction of the modern calender, people across the world generally recognized the new year at an equinox point.

The fact that these 2 events (the full moon of release and the equinox of new beginnings) are coinciding on the same day, 20th March 2019, is creating a huge energy portal around letting go whilst simultaneously creating and allowing transition towards the new in our lives. This is symbolic of the cycle of life, death and rebirth which we see throughout all of nature.

This full moon-equinox promises to be magic in action. We can know that today, whatever we release and let go of with heartfelt intention, will move out of our lives - no drama. And simultaneously, wherever we put our energy of desire and creation - that which we wish to bring in - we can expect to magically materialise.

Of course, we have the ability to let go and bring in the new at any time, but when the energies of nature and the entire solar system align in this way, we can be sure the effects will be noticeable and fruitful.

Think about it like this: imagine you want to repaint the garden shed... If you do it on a hot sunny day when the conditions are in your favour, the paint is going to go on easily, you might even get all the coats you need to do on in that one day, plus you get a massive vitamin D boost and a healthy tan to boot! Sure you could do it on another day; one that's colder, windy or wet, you'll probably get some of it done, but you might not get as much done as if you waited for better conditions, or the bonuses that go with the better day! Releasing and simultaneously manifesting on this full moon-equinox will be like painting your garden shed on the sunniest of days!

At this magical energy portal, the sun is in Aries and the moon sits on the opposite end of the astrological axis in Libra - a face-off. Here Aries is representing 'self', ego, and our independence, whilst Libra is representing 'shadow self', relationships, and our interdependence. ... So....How do these aspects balance in your own life? What do you need to let go in the self, the ego, to allow you to relate more and create more interdependence in your life?

Conversely, what do you need to let go of in your codependent relationships that will allow you to trust yourself more, love yourself more and be more independent? Which aspects of the ego self are ready to be dropped and which aspects of the shadow self are ready to be integrated to take their place?

This full moon, consider harnessing the wonderful nature of Arian and Libran energy at their best to better serve yourself and your relationships, and to help you recognize how to step through this magical gateway. Both signs are cardinal energy signs, meaning they are about initiating and setting things in motion.
